Special Webinar Event Current Landscape of Kidney Transplant: IOTA Model and Reimbursement for Kidney Transplant Admissions

Featuring

  • Sanofi

About This Webinar

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently introduced the Increasing Organ Transplant Access (IOTA) model, which aims to increase access to kidney transplant, improve care coordination, and reduce Medicare expenditures. This webinar will provide an overview of this mandatory model and describe the performance metrics that will be evaluated and how scores and payments will be determined. Potential strategies for successful participation will also be discussed.

The metrics for the IOTA model will focus on kidney transplants performed on Medicare fee-for-service enrollees. Due to this, it is imperative to understand the Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Groups (MS-DRGs) that are specific to kidney transplantation and how kidney transplant hospital admissions are reimbursed to transplant centers by CMS. This comprehensive webinar will also discuss key data for hospital costs and reimbursement associated with kidney transplant MS-DRGs.

Intended for use with payers, formulary committees, or other similar entities for the purposes of population-based drug selection, coverage and/or reimbursement decision making.
