About This EcoCast
Today, virtual production has come of age and the industry is now able to take advantage of the savings, flexibility and visual advances that the technology presents.
All the elements that go into virtual production are advancing rapidly, from displays to lenses, cameras and graphics. Along with displays, the other main driver for making virtual production work is data, which is crucial in such media processes as asset creation, motion capture, real-time rendering, camera tracking and performance capture.
In a recent survey of the film and TV industry, 40% of respondents said they are using virtual production on current projects and half said they are likely to do so in the next 18 to 24 months.
Simply put, without advances in displays and data, virtual production would be impossible. In this EcoCast, we’ll explore how broadcasters can use these advances to streamline virtual production to save time and money.
